A strong, rich, and aromatic Italian coffee served in a small cup. Brewed under high pressure to create a bold flavor with a smooth crema on top. Perfect for a quick, energizing coffee experience, as enjoyed across Italy.


Ingredients: Freshly ground espresso beans, Filtered water, Sugar.


Preparation:

  1. Use a burr grinder to achieve a fine, even grind.

  2. Use 7–9 grams of ground coffee for a single espresso, or 14–18 grams for a doppio (double).

  3. Evenly distribute the grounds into the portafilter and tamp down firmly to create a level and compact puck.

  4. Brew using 9 bars of pressure for about 25–30 seconds to extract a 30 ml shot.

  5. A proper Espresso Italiano has a thick, golden-brown crema on top.


Tip: A glass of water to cleanse the palate, or a cornetto for breakfast.
